Ms. Maria Zahid Binte Zahid, Singapore
Ms. Maria Zahid is a scientist, having pursued education in Biomedical Technology. She is pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Psychology Forensics at the Singapore University of Social Sciences, where she holds the prestigious SUSS Scholarship. She is also an EXCO member of the Current AFairs Interest Group, serving as the Publicity Head. Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Maria actively engages in volunteer work with Geylang Serai MAEC as Vice-Chairman, and M3@Geylang Serai, as Lead of Focus Area 3. She spearheads two ground-up initiatives: Project Khas Untukmu, an annual program that provides brand-new Hari Raya festive clothing to the underprivileged, and EveryVoice Youth Network, a youth network mentorship program. In July 2024, Maria represented Singapore at the Singapore-Indonesia Youth Leaders Exchange Programme. In addition to her commitment to civic engagement, she is also passionate about aviation, foreign service, women’s empowerment, entrepreneurship, and floral artistry.
Mr. Leong Mun Kit, Singapore
Mr Leong Mun Kit is a Year 3 Business Management undergraduate at Singapore Management University and was awarded the SMU Lee Kong Chian Scholars' Programme, Singapore Mentorship Committee Student Sustainability Award and National Youth Achievement Award (Gold). He is the Auditor of Nee Soon East Youth Network and Vice-Chairman of the Young People’s Action Party (Nee Soon East). Previously, he was the Vice-Chairman of the Nee Soon East Youth Network. He has volunteered as a grassroots leader since 2018 and oversees various community projects. While at SMU, he had several academic exchanges, such as at Jönköping University in Sweden and the University of Cambridge.
Wang Haomin, Singapore
Haomin's academic background is firmly rooted in accounting, providing a foundational understanding of financial systems and analytical rigor applicable to business sustainability. Her commitment to environmental and social impact is evident through her volunteer work. She actively contributes to environment-related programs, including AlterCOP, engaging in critical climate discourse and action. Additionally, she previously held the role of Vice President at AIESEC, a youth-run international non-profit organization, developing leadership and operational management skills. Professionally, Haomin has dedicated her career to the sustainability sector since 2021. She currently serves in a key sustainability role at Chanel, where her primary focus involves developing and implementing comprehensive decarbonization strategies to advance the company's net-zero ambitions.
Tan Ying En (Felicia), Singapore
Ms. Tan Ying En (Felicia) is an undergraduate at Singapore Management University (SMU), pursuing a Double Degree in Business and Social Sciences. As a passionate advocate for human resources and sustainability, she actively seeks to enhance her knowledge through academic pursuits and volunteer work. Felicia is a recipient of the prestigious Lee Kong Chian Scholars’ Programme (LKCSP) and has been inducted as a Youth Corps Leader through her involvement in the Youth Corps Leaders Programme. She currently serves as the President of SMU Verts and a Projects EXCO member of the Youth Corps Sustainability Cluster. Additionally, she contributes as a Conservation Ambassador with Mandai Wildlife Group. Felicia firmly believes that “business and the environment are interconnected, and everyone has a role to play in safeguarding our natural world.”
Lim Jia Le Ryan, Singapore
Mr. Ryan Lim is Director of Partnerships & Strategy at Reactor School, overseeing revenue, corporate development and strategic partnerships across Southeast Asia. He holds a Bachelor's in Business Management from RMIT University and has spent the last decade in the startup ecosystem, specializing in B2B, and B2G partnerships across various sectors as a co-founder, early employee and in corporate innovation. On the International stage, he has represented Singapore at the National Youth Council’s 3rd Singapore Malaysia Youth Leaders Exchange Programme (SMYLEP) and as a guest lecturer and panellist at international forums. He is a core part of the UNESCO Entrepreneurship Education Network’s National Chapter of Singapore and part of the team at the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Singapore Hub. He believes that growth begins with the willingness to fail, learn, and try again.
Po Qian Hwee, Singapore
Ms. Po Qian Hwee, graduated with a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biological Sciences from National Technological University (NTU). She is currently an Assistant Development Partner in the Enterprise Sustainability team at Enterprise Singapore. In this role, she supports local businesses in adopting sustainability initiatives and capacity building. Previously, she was an active student member, taking on multiple leadership roles within her faculty and residential hall, most notably leading publicity efforts and animal welfare projects. Passionate about the conservation of the natural environment, she has undertaken marine research stints and created content for a youth-run non-profit environmental organisation throughout her tertiary education. These experiences have fuelled her interest in exploring the intersection of nature, business, and people, and how the status quo can be transformed to future-proof communities, particularly for vulnerable populations.
Loo Dan Lin, Singapore
Loo Dan Lin, having graduated with the higher National Institute of Technical Education Certificate (NITEC) was awarded the Lee Kuan Yew (LKY) Gold Medal award , Valedictorian and Top Graduate award and the LKY-STEP scholarship. Having held the title of president of ACE club, a holistic development CCA, she also organised various student body events, and was an active contributor in community service and student dialogues that provided perspective on a broad range of subjects such as community welfare, sustainability, financial planning and racial harmony. Currently a first year pursuing a diploma in Banking and Finance at Singapore Polytechnic (SP) she was also awarded the UOB Kay Hian scholarship and sought a short term internship during her holidays embodying the adage that “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest”, she can always be found seeking out new learning experiences and organizing/participating in community service events.
Lutfi Bin Mohamed Zulnizan, Singapore
Lutfi Zulnizan is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a Minor in Public Health at the National University of Singapore (NUS). A passionate advocate for public health and medicine, he has actively contributed to research initiatives, including as an Undergraduate Researcher at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, where he advanced Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) strategies to enhance research impact and inclusivity. As Deputy Policy Centre Director at MAJU, Lutfi collaborates with policy experts and stakeholders to shape progressive health policies.
His commitment extends to empowering underprivileged communities through tutoring, mentoring, and leading impactful health initiatives locally and overseas. With a deep dedication to public health, policymaking, and education, Lutfi aims to harness research and innovation to drive equitable and empathetic healthcare policies and foster sustainable societal development. He believes that health, dignity and justice for every human is cause that is imperative to work towards.
Oh Jia Jun, Singapore
Jia Jun is a sophomore at Singapore Management University (SMU), pursuing a double degree in Social Sciences and Finance. Previously, he interned with the Monetary Authority of Singapore, where he worked on grant application processes and researched the debt capital market in Singapore and the region. He also interned at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, gaining insights into Singapore's bilateral relations and global developments. He recently completed a term as Desk Director for Asia-Pacific at a macroeconomic club at SMU, deepening his interest in the region’s political and economic aLairs. In his free time, he enjoys learning new skills and is currently learning Korean. Passionate about policymaking, Jia Jun hopes to contribute to initiatives that foster regional cooperation and strengthen economic and people-to-people ties. He is excited to explore the U.S. governance system and connect with fellows from across Southeast Asia.
