Siti Khaliysah Zahiah Dayinie, Brunei

Ms. Siti Khaliysah Zahiah Dayinie, widely known as Liysa Zahiah, is an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Design and Creative Industries at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD). She is the Co-Founder of Step One Theatre, where she leads efforts to cultivate organic interest in theatre arts among youths in Brunei. Liysa has extensive experience in public relations, having served as the Vice Head of Public Relations for her university’s Executives of Media and Public Relations Officers and as Head of Marketing for Medley House Productions. 


Outside of her professional work, Liysa is passionate about acting, singing, and content creation, and has been actively involved in local theatre, participating in various performances that address social issues. She also enjoys producing vlog- style storytelling content, musical theatre, and story-based video games. She believes theatre can foster connection, inspire dialogue, and drive positive change.



Nurzukrina Ameerah binti Awang Marzuki, Brunei

Ameerah Marzuki graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Food Science and Technology from Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB). Her academic interests include food safety and public health, as reflected in her final-year project, which highlighted the importance of accessible food safety training for street vendors. In 2023, she was awarded a scholarship to enroll as a special auditor for the Osaka University International Certificate Program – Spring (OUICP-S). Beyond academics, Ameerah has been actively involved in leadership and community initiatives. She was elected Campus Leader of her faculty and has contributed to education, sustainability, and youth empowerment through volunteering and NGO collaborations. Currently, she is a teacher apprentice and serves as a Research and Strategy Associate at The Young SEAkers Brunei. Her experiences have reinforced her commitment to bridging opportunity gaps and advocating for inclusive education, aligning with her vision to create long-term, community-driven solutions that empower underserved populations.



Sarah Qhairanni Binti Hashim, Brunei Darussalam

Sarah just recently graduated with an Upper-Second class Bachelor's degree in History and International Studies. She was an active volunteer in various Non-profit organisations aimed at helping uplift poverty in her home village, the well-renowned Venice of the East, known as Kampong Ayer. Previously, she was an intern under Media and Publicity at the Brunei Legislative Council and has undertaken two major video projects to help portray the political side of Brunei Darussalam. Sarah firmly believes that it is inevitable for youth like herself to partake in politics, specifically educating oneself in the role of institutions and utilising the knowledge to make a difference in her currently stagnant society.

 

 

 

Nurul Haziqah binti Jefri, Brunei

Nurul Haziqah is a soon-to-be graduate of Master of Teaching in Inclusive and Special Education at Universiti Brunei Darussalam. She holds a degree in Sociology and Anthropology, with a research focus on identity and naming practices in Brunei Malay Muslim society. Her academic interests lie in inclusivity, community wellbeing, and the intersections between social structures and learning accessibility. Additionally, Haziqah has supported individuals with autism at SMARTER Brunei and facilitated mental health workshops during her time with Empowerior Counselling & Consultancy, and currently co-runs a mental health advocate youth group, named “YouthTells”. To add, she has taken on leadership roles in student-led initiatives and has contributed to educational discourse through published writing. She is passionate about creating environments where learning is accessible and inclusive, meaningful, and rooted in empathy. She trusts that accessibility and inclusivity in everyday life are positive social trends that would only benefit everyone in the end.

Dk Nur Farahiyah Pg Haji Abd Rahman, Brunei Darussalam

Ms. Dk Nur Farahiyah graduated with Bachelor of Biotechnology (Hons) with a minor in Business Analytics from Taylor’s University (Malaysia). She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering at University Technology Brunei (UTB). Her commitment to making a difference beyond her academic life is reflected in her involvement as the Research Coordinator for Catalyst of Change (CoC) ASEAN and  Head of Programmes for The Young SEAkers (TYS) Brunei, where she advocates for a sustainable environment and youth empowerment. She lives by the philosophy that “it’s never too late to make a change, as long as you have the passion and perseverance.”.

 

 

 

Amal Nabilah Binti Saidi, Brunei

Ms. Amal Saidi is a final-year Biology undergraduate at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), with a keen interest in sustainability and marine resource valorization. Her Final Year Project investigates the nutritional and bioactive potential of locally sourced seaweed waste for sustainable applications. Amal has represented UBD in prestigious international programs, including the Asian Undergraduate Summit (AUS) 2022 and the Temasek Foundation Youths for Asia – Leadership Enrichment and Regional Networking (LEaRN) Programme 2023 at Singapore Management University (SMU). She has also held prominent leadership positions, serving as President of the UBD Global Discovery Programme (GDP) and Vice President of the Brunei-Japan Friendship Association (BJFA) at UBD. An advocate for community development, she has contributed to local NGOs, such as KESAN, by organizing public workshops and mentoring students. Moving forward, Amal is committed to advancing sustainability through innovation and collaboration.

 

Nuradibah Nadiah Binti Haji Ahmad, Brunei

Ms. Nuradibah Nadiah Binti Haji Ahmad is a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Agribusiness) student at Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA), with a study abroad experience in Agribusiness Management at Newcastle University, UK. Passionate about sustainability and agricultural innovation, she has interned at Kabunku Aquaponics, where she contributed to Black Soldier Fly (BSF) operations and greenhouse research. Nuradibah is an active volunteer and has led various initiatives, including fundraising for underprivileged students and food relief programs. As Vice President of the Faculty Agriculture Student Society, she organized career expos and leadership programs. Nuradibah has also represented Brunei in international conferences on youth empowerment, environmental sustainability, and agribusiness. She believes in fostering sustainable agricultural practices and digital inclusion for farmers, ensuring a greener future for all.

 


Abdul Waiz bin Joefry, Brunei Darussalam

Abdul Waiz bin Joefry is a first-year student, currently enrolled in the Brunei Polytechnic Institution, undergoing a Higher National Diploma (HND) program studying ‘Entrepreneurship & Marketing Strategies’.
Prior to this, he was enrolled in Brunei’s most prestigious college, Paduka Seri Begawan Science College, studying there from Year 7 until Pre-University Level 2. 
He was an active participant in the college’s student council, acting as an Assistant Event Manager, overseeing the college’s biggest events. He continues his participation in this new institution, acting as the treasurer, managing all council funds. 
 Additionally, Waiz has a strong interest for sports, especially in badminton and cycling. As a result, he was heavily involved in his college sports-house, ‘Hulubalang’, trusted with the title of Assistant Head-of-Sports, tasked with managing the house’s athletes. 
 Waiz firmly believes in the saying that, “Success is not final; Failure is not fatal; It is the courage to continue which counts”.

 


Mohd Aqiel Khairi bin Muhd Alias, Brunei Darussalam

Mr. Mohd Aqiel Khairi bin Muhd Alias is a second-year student in Politeknik Brunei taking Level 5 Diploma in Business Accounting and Finance. He is currently holding the highest position in the Student Representative Council as the YDP (Yang Di-Pertua). Aqiel is a very determined and passionate young individual mainly in combating economic issues such as youth unemployment and in climate change. He was also selected to participate in the National Oath Reading Team for Brunei's 39th National Day in 2023. He is also a Master Trainer in Digital Literacy which was certified by TheScoop.co and BigBwnProject in conjunction with the ASEAN Foundation with the support of Google.com. With the help of collaboration and partnering up with various organizations and the government, he has shown a demonstrated history of working with economic issues, climate change and youth development.

 

 

Ahmad Hafizul Aziz Bin Haji Mohamed, Brunei Darussalam

Hafizul, graduated from Universiti Brunei Darussalam with Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. He did a research thesis on profit-making simulations for Brunei’s agricultural sector using Monte Carlo methods. This demonstrated his ability to combine analytical thinking with practical problem-solving to address local economic challenges. Hafizul is also an entrepreneur tapping into his creativity and business sense as the owner of a pop- up café. His work blends his creativity with business acumen to create an extraordinary customer experience, equipping him with finer professional skills in areas such as financial management, marketing, and engaging with customers. He is passionate about building connections with individuals from a wide variety of background. He values collaborations and actively looks for opportunities to share ideas and grow alongside other passionate changemakers.

Amal Nadhirah, Brunei

This is Miss Amal, she’s currently doing her bachelor’s degree in International Relations and History from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD). She will receive the Dean’s List Award for being in the top 9% of her faculty, this November of 2025. Amal is a part of the ASEAN Youth Advocate Network (AYAN) and she is active in committees, clubs, and volunteer work. She was a liaison officer for several forums such as the 46th ASEAN Maritime Transport Working Group Committee, Borneo Study Network (BSN) of the 4th Governing Council Network, and Jeju Forum Peace & Prosperity. Amal was awarded a scholarship from her university to represent Brunei and UBD for an exchange programme with NTU, NUS, and SMU Singapore. She organized educational visits with the Prime Minister’s Office, the Australian High Commission, and the Embassy of the Russian Federation. Amal believes that “Passion fuels purpose and possibilities.”

 

 

 

Khaizuran Wardi, Brunei Darussalam

Mr. Khaizuran Wardi is a graduate of Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) with a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Mechanical Engineering. During his university year, he became part of the university’s student council (MPPUTB) and engaged in volunteering to improve students’ welfare. He spent most of his university life living in the student hostel, and this experience sparked his current interest in sustainable urban mobility. After his graduation, he further explored this interest by participating in various regional and local programs that focused on SDG 11, Sustainable Cities & Communities. He is currently part of a local youth advocacy group, AYAN Brunei, and a founding member of a youth startup group, Vill-Laju! Bn. He envisions a future of safer, inclusive and walkable cities all around the world.

 

 

 

Siti NurSyakiratul Hidayah Binti Norsidi, Brunei

Siti NurSyakiratul Hidayah Binti Norsidi, a university student majoring in Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Sharia Law. She is deeply committed to leadership, advocacy, and community development, with a strong passion for problem-solving and intellectual exploration in legal and philosophical discourse. Her dedication to mental health awareness drives her engagement in initiatives that foster meaningful change. She have participated in esteemed programs such as the Brunei Young Leader Convention, the Future Young Leaders Academy, and the ASEAN Youth Advocacy Network Brunei, ALSA Conference Brunei, refining her leadership capabilities and strategic thinking. Actively involved in local clubs, outreach programs, and charitable initiatives, she continuously seek opportunities to contribute to societal well-being
