Mizzah Razali
Mizzah is a civic engagement advocate with a passion for community empowerment. She has contributed to the Big BWN Project in Brunei from 2021 to 2024 and worked with Angat Buhay in the Philippines on the "Bayan Ko, Titser Ko" program in 2024. In her professional capacity as a Marketing and Communications Intern at Wedu Global, she managed community engagement and created communication collaterals.
Mizzah’s dedication was recognised with the Asia Leading Scholarship, enabling her participation as a delegate at the One Young World Summit in Montreal. Additionally, she works as a research assistant at GAIA. Her work is driven by a commitment to digital inclusion, youth empowerment, and sustainable social impact.
Siti Khaliysah Zahiah Dayinie
Ms. Siti Khaliysah Zahiah Dayinie, widely known as Liysa Zahiah, is an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Design and Creative Industries at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD). She is the Co-Founder of Step One Theatre, where she leads efforts to cultivate organic interest in theatre arts among youths in Brunei. Liysa has extensive experience in public relations, having served as the Vice Head of Public Relations for her university’s Executives of Media and Public Relations Officers and as Head of Marketing for Medley House Productions.
Outside of her professional work, Liysa is passionate about acting, singing, and content creation, and has been actively involved in local theatre, participating in various performances that address social issues. She also enjoys producing vlogstyle storytelling content, musical theatre, and story-based video games. She believes theatre can foster connection, inspire dialogue, and drive positive change.
Nurzukrina Ameerah binti Awang Marzuki

Ameerah Marzuki graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Food Science and Technology from Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB). Her academic interests include food safety and public health, as reflected in her final-year project, which highlighted the importance of accessible food safety training for street vendors. In 2023, she was awarded a scholarship to enroll as a special auditor for the Osaka University International Certificate Program – Spring (OUICP-S). Beyond academics, Ameerah has been actively involved in leadership and community initiatives. She was elected Campus Leader of her faculty and has contributed to education, sustainability, and youth empowerment through volunteering and NGO collaborations. Currently, she is a teacher apprentice and serves as a Research and Strategy Associate at The Young SEAkers Brunei. Her experiences have reinforced her commitment to bridging opportunity gaps and advocating for inclusive education, aligning with her vision to create long-term, community-driven solutions that empower underserved populations.
Insan Alif
Mr. Insan Alif graduated from the University of Technology Brunei (UTB) with a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Security. With his technical background, he has always been passionate about leveraging technology to address societal challenges and issues. Additionally, he has a deep desire to gain non-technical knowledge that will complement his skills and enhance his ability to create impactful solutions. During his participation in programs such as Huawei Seeds for the Future (Tech4Good) and eMpowering Youths Across ASEAN, he had the honor of serving as the leader of both teams, which provided him with valuable learning experiences. As an individual who firmly believes in continuous learning, he is eager to embrace opportunities that will allow him to grow both personally and professionally. He also believes in the saying, “our lives are not measured by our age, but rather by the hearts that we touch throughout our lives.”
Tia Nor Hasnul

Noorfati’ah, preferably known as, Tia, advocates for economic and sustainable development. She holds an MSc in Applied Economics from Universiti Brunei Darussalam, with a research focus on the impact of digital transformation towards unemployment. She also has a BSc in Financial Economics and Banking from the University of Leicester in England. An accomplished speaker, she delivered a TEDx talk on empowering communities through digital literacy and sustainable innovation. Tia actively engages in initiatives that drive social impact. She was 1st Runner-Up at the ASEAN-China-India Youth Leadership Summit (ACIYLS) Sustainability Startathon, where her team developed innovative solutions addressing the SDGs, earning recognition as Top 10 finalists in Singapore. Her volunteer work includes supporting underprivileged communities and coordinating international forums. A proactive leader, Tia has represented Brunei at global programs like the ASEAN Young Leaders Programme and the Japan-East Asia Network Exchange, among others, advocating for collaboration in addressing global challenges.
Nuradibah Nadiah Binti Haji Ahmad
Ms. Nuradibah Nadiah Binti Haji Ahmad is a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Agribusiness) student at Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA), with a study abroad experience in Agribusiness Management at Newcastle University, UK. Passionate about sustainability and agricultural innovation, she has interned at Kabunku Aquaponics, where she contributed to Black Soldier Fly (BSF) operations and greenhouse research. Nuradibah is an active volunteer and has led variousinitiatives, including fundraising for underprivileged students and food relief programs. As Vice President of the Faculty Agriculture Student Society, she organized career expos and leadership programs. Nuradibah has also represented Brunei in international conferences on youth empowerment, environmental sustainability, and agribusiness. She believes in fostering sustainable agricultural practices and digital inclusion for farmers, ensuring a greener future for all.
Nurin Saadiatul Faridah Md Fahrurrazi
Nurin graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Architecture from Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) and received the Best Final Year Project award for integrating sustainability into architecture. Her academic journey deepened her understanding of sustainable design and environmental challenges, cultivating her passion for creating energy-efficient spaces that harmonize with nature, emphasizing sustainable development to build resilient communities and green cities that support long-term environmental resilience.
Through courses and projects on energy-efficient buildings, she developed a deep appreciation for architecture’s role in environmental sustainability. Her experiences in student councils, volunteering, an internship at a local architectural firm, and an apprenticeship in the government sector equipped her with problem-solving skills and real-world insights into sustainable practices.
She aspires to contribute to Brunei’s development by promoting low-impact buildings and sustainable planning, aligning with “Wawasan Brunei 2035”. Passionate about green architecture, she seeks broader learning opportunities to balance environmental protection and human well-being.
Dk Nur Farahiyah Pg Haji Abd Rahman

Ms. Dk Nur Farahiyah graduated with Bachelor of Biotechnology (Hons) with a minor in Business Analytics from Taylor’s University (Malaysia). She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering at University Technology Brunei (UTB). Her commitment to making a difference beyond her academic life is reflected in her involvement as the Research Coordinator for Catalyst of Change (CoC) ASEAN and Head of Programmes for The Young SEAkers (TYS) Brunei, where she advocates for a sustainable environment and youth empowerment. She lives by the philosophy that “it’s never too late to make a change, as long as you have the passion and perseverance.”.
Amal Nabilah Binti Saidi
Ms. Amal Saidi is a final-year Biology undergraduate at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), with a keen interest in sustainability and marine resource valorization. Her Final Year Project investigates the nutritional and bioactive potential of locally sourced seaweed waste for sustainable applications. Amal has represented UBD in prestigious international programs, including the Asian Undergraduate Summit (AUS) 2022 and the Temasek Foundation Youths for Asia – Leadership Enrichment and Regional Networking (LEaRN) Programme 2023 at Singapore Management University (SMU). She has also held prominent leadership positions, serving as President of the UBD Global Discovery Programme (GDP) and Vice President of the Brunei-Japan Friendship Association (BJFA) at UBD. An advocate for community development, she has contributed to local NGOs, such as KESAN, by organizing public workshops and mentoring students. Moving forward, Amal is committed to advancing sustainability through innovation and collaboration.
Norerni Irwani

Norerni Irwani holds a double degree in Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Bachelor of Shariah Law (BSL). Passionate about youth empowerment and sustainability, she is actively involved in both local and international volunteering efforts, including The Young SEAkers Brunei and Catalyst of Change ASEAN.
She has participated in various youth programs, such as the ASEAN Young Leaders Programme and the One Young World ASEAN Leadership Forum, and has contributed to projects addressing environmental and social challenges on both local and international levels.
Driven by a commitment to environmental protection, she believes that effective laws and policies are crucial in driving meaningful change and ensuring a sustainable future.
Bazilah Fakhri
Ms. Bazilah Fakhri, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Life Sciences from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD). Bazilah has actively participated in international programs such as the ASEAN Youth Economic Forum, the ASEAN Young Climate Leaders Programme, the ASEAN-China-India Youth Leadership Summit, and a student exchange program at Sookmyung Women’s University, South Korea. Through her internship at the Institute for Biodiversity and Environmental Research, she has contributed to conservation projects in several forests across Brunei, including the Badas Peatswamp Forest. Passionate about sustainability and environmental conservation, she believes in empowering youth in environmental initiatives and fostering cross-cultural collaboration to amplify environmental protection efforts and address pressing global challenges, particularly climate change.
Amal Nabillah Abdul Aziz
Ms. Amal Nabillah Abdul Aziz, passionate about green technologies, holds a Bachelor’s in Energy Systems Engineering and recently completed her Master’s by Research in Systems Engineering. As part of the team ‘Belia Tabah,’ she helped break the national energy efficiency record and secured first place in the Carbon Footprint Reduction Award at the Shell Eco-marathon with their battery-electric prototype vehicle. Representing Brunei and her university, she participated in international programs such as the YSEALI Enviro-tech Workshop, TF-Learn at the National University of Singapore, and Kyoto University’s Winter Seminar on Human Security and Energy. Amal also coordinated Green BruCamp, an educational sustainability boot camp rising awareness on Mangroves for Cambodian youths and currently contributes as a data scientist with ‘Concrete2Canopies,’ mapping green spaces in Metro Manila.
Azra Nurfarhana Bte Haji Mohd Khairul Zaki
Azra is a passionate entrepreneur and community advocate dedicated to innovation and business development. Entrepreneurship has sparked her interest when she co-developed an innovative Black Soldier Fly Larvae waste processing system, securing 2nd place, a post-program startup journey support initiative called DST Catalyst Programme. Her commitment to business extends to her role as a Business Development Apprentice under Scientia Labs and Aurora Technologies, where she is currently training to drive strategic growth, forge partnerships, business scaling and implementing sustainable business models, equipping her with the skills to drive innovation in emerging industries. Through her internship at Big BWN Project, she has actively supported entrepreneurship initiatives with several community projects. With a background in Sociology and Anthropology, Azra believes that “success in business isn’t just about profits—it’s about creating value, building relationships, and driving meaningful change."
Ahmad Hafizul Aziz Bin Haji Mohamed

Hafizul, graduated from Universiti Brunei Darussalam with Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. He did a research thesis on profit-making simulations for Brunei’s agricultural sector using Monte Carlo methods. This demonstrated his ability to combine analytical thinking with practical problem-solving to address local economic challenges. Hafizul is also an entrepreneur tapping into his creativity and business sense as the owner of a popup café. His work blends his creativity with business acumen to create an extraordinary customer experience, equipping him with finer professional skills in areas such as financial management, marketing, and engaging with customers. He is passionate about building connections with individuals from a wide variety of background. He values collaborations and actively looks for opportunities to share ideas and grow alongside other passionate changemakers.
Mohd Aqiel Khairi bin Muhd Alias
Mr. Mohd Aqiel Khairi bin Muhd Alias is a second-year student in Politeknik Brunei taking Level 5 Diploma in Business Accounting and Finance. He is currently holding the highest position in the Student Representative Council as the YDP (Yang Di-Pertua). Aqiel is a very determined and passionate young individual mainly in combating economic issues such as youth unemployment and in climate change. He was also selected to participate in the National Oath Reading Team for Brunei's 39th National Day in 2023. He is also a Master Trainer in Digital Literacy which was certified by TheScoop.co and BigBwnProject in conjunction with the ASEAN Foundation with the support of Google.com. With the help of collaboration and partnering up with various organizations and the government, he has shown a demonstrated history of working with economic issues, climate change and youth development.
Abdul Waiz bin Joefry

Abdul Waiz bin Joefry is a first-year student, currently enrolled in the Brunei Polytechnic Institution, undergoing a Higher National Diploma (HND) program studying ‘Entrepreneurship & Marketing Strategies’.
Prior to this, he was enrolled in Brunei’s most prestigious college, Paduka Seri Begawan Science College, studying there from Year 7 until Pre-University Level 2.
He was an active participant in the college’s student council, acting as an Assistant Event Manager, overseeing the college’s biggest events. He continues his participation in this new institution, acting as the treasurer, managing all council funds.
Additionally, Waiz has a strong interest for sports, especially in badminton and cycling. As a result, he was heavily involved in his college sports-house, ‘Hulubalang’, trusted with the title of Assistant Head-of-Sports, tasked with managing the house’s athletes.
Waiz firmly believes in the saying that, “Success is not final; Failure is not fatal; It is the courage to continue which counts”.
Nur Hazirah Binti Haji Jeffery
Nur Hazirah Binti Haji Jeffery is a 25-year-old Bruneian postgraduate student pursuing a Master’s in Anthropology by Research at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, with a focus on social medicine and medical anthropology. She is deeply passionate about promoting equitable health education for youth, women, and vulnerable communities, empowering them to address stigma, discrimination, and misconceptions.
Her academic projects started by exploring menstrual norms among Bruneian women and recently examined how civil society organizations shape their strategies to address HIV/AIDS education and awareness. Hazirah has actively contributed to impactful volunteer work with Bleedsafely and the Brunei Darussalam AIDS Council, where she assists in the delivery of educational workshops on sexual and reproductive health throughout the four districts of Brunei Darussalam.
Beyond her academics, as a project assistant and volunteer, she has strengthened outreach programs by assessing community needs and building meaningful partnerships. With a strong commitment to social justice and empowerment, Hazirah is eager to collaborate and make a meaningful impact through the YSEALI program.
Muhammad Izzuddin Bin Haji Nor Hisham
Izzuddin, graduated with Bachelor of Health Sciences, Biomedical science from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) and was elected as a student representative council (PMUBD) for two consecutive terms (2019/2020 and 2020/2021), which is known to be the largest student association in the nation. Izzuddin was also a member of the student body of his faculty, the Institute of health sciences student body (IHSSC). Izzuddin Has actively represented Brunei Darussalam and his university for international programs such as the ASEAN Student Leadership Forum (ASLF) organised by the ASEAN University Network (AUN), ASEAN China India Youth Leadership Summit (ACIYLS) and Model ASEAN Inter-parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), among others. Izzuddin actively volunteered in civic and environmental-related programs, such as donation drives for the less-fortunate, cleaning campaigns, and as a frontliner during the COVID-19 pandemic. He was recently awarded the Excellence in leadership award from his university. He is an advocate for mental health and environment.
Muhammad Aminuddin bin Mohd Alijan

Muhammad Aminuddin is a second-year undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Brunei Darussalam. Driven by a deep interest in understanding human societies, cultures, and behaviors, his academic focus revolves around the dynamics of social structures, human interactions, and cultural practices. Amin is particularly intrigued by ethnographic research and the ways in which societal norms shape individual and collective experiences. With aspirations to contribute to the field of social research, he aims to explore topics related to social justice, governance, and cultural preservation. Amin is passionate about using his academic knowledge to promote a greater understanding of cultural diversity and its influence on both local and global communities.
Amal Nadhirah
This is Miss Amal, she’s currently doing her bachelor’s degree in International Relations and History from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD). She will receive the Dean’s List Award for being in the top 9% of her faculty, this November of 2025. Amal is a part of the ASEAN Youth Advocate Network (AYAN) and she is active in committees, clubs, and volunteer work. She was a liaison officer for several forums such as the 46th ASEAN Maritime Transport Working Group Committee, Borneo Study Network (BSN) of the 4th Governing Council Network, and Jeju Forum Peace & Prosperity. Amal was awarded a scholarship from her university to represent Brunei and UBD for an exchange programme with NTU, NUS, and SMU Singapore. She organized educational visits with the Prime Minister’s Office, the Australian High Commission, and the Embassy of the Russian Federation. Amal believes that “Passion fuels purpose and possibilities."
Siti NurSyakiratul Hidayah Binti Norsidi

Siti NurSyakiratul Hidayah Binti Norsidi, a university student majoring in Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Sharia Law. She is deeply committed to leadership, advocacy, and community development, with a strong passion for problem-solving and intellectual exploration in legal and philosophical discourse. Her dedication to mental health awareness drives her engagement in initiatives that foster meaningful change. She have participated in esteemed programs such as the Brunei Young Leader Convention, the Future Young Leaders Academy, and the ASEAN Youth Advocacy Network Brunei, ALSA Conference Brunei, refining her leadership capabilities and strategic thinking. Actively involved in local clubs, outreach programs, and charitable initiatives, she continuously seek opportunities to contribute to societal well-being.
Khaizuran Wardi
Mr. Khaizuran Wardi is a graduate of Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) with a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Mechanical Engineering. During his university year, he became part of the university’s student council (MPPUTB) and engaged in volunteering to improve students’ welfare. He spent most of his university life living in the student hostel, and this experience sparked his current interest in sustainable urban mobility. After his graduation, he further explored this interest by participating in various regional and local programs that focused on SDG 11, Sustainable Cities & Communities. He is currently part of a local youth advocacy group, AYAN Brunei, and a founding member of a youth startup group, Vill-Laju! Bn. He envisions a future of safer, inclusive and walkable cities all around the world.
